This Privacy Policy explains how Flepty collects, uses, stores, protects, and shares information when you use the Flepty mobile application and website.
By using Flepty, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.
Flepty collects information required to provide shopping, ordering, delivery, account, and customer-support services.
1.1 Personal Information: Flepty collects your name, mobile phone number, email address when voluntarily provided, account and authentication information, and information provided when contacting customer support. Mobile numbers are verified through OTP verification.
1.2 Delivery and Address Information: When you save an address or place an order, Flepty collects the delivery address, house or building details, area or locality, city, state, PIN code, recipient name, recipient phone number, and delivery instructions provided by you. This information is used to process and deliver your orders.
1.3 Location Information: When you use a location-based feature such as “Use Current Location”, Flepty accesses your device’s location according to the location permissions granted on your device. Location information is used to identify or verify your delivery location, check delivery availability in a particular area or PIN code, provide address-related services, and assist with delivery and navigation where applicable. Flepty uses Google Maps services, including applicable Maps, Places, and Geocoding services, for location and address-related functionality. You can control location permissions through your device settings.
1.4 Order and Transaction Information: When you place an order, Flepty stores information about the products ordered, quantities, order amount, order date and time, delivery address, order status, cancellation information where applicable, and customer notes or delivery instructions.
1.5 Device and Usage Information: Flepty collects limited technical information required to operate, secure, and improve the application. This may include device type, operating system, app version, IP address, device or app-related technical information, push notification token, and basic app usage and browsing information. Flepty uses Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to deliver push notifications, including order updates, delivery updates, and other necessary service notifications.
Flepty uses your information to create and manage your account, verify your mobile number through OTP, process and manage orders, arrange product delivery, communicate with you regarding orders, provide order status and delivery updates, send necessary service notifications, provide location and address-related functionality, check delivery availability, provide customer support, prevent fraud and unauthorized activity, maintain account and platform security, improve the performance and functionality of Flepty, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Flepty does not use your personal information for purposes unrelated to the operation of Flepty unless permitted by applicable law or with appropriate consent.
Flepty currently offers Cash on Delivery (COD) as its payment method for customer orders. Customers can pay for their orders upon delivery.
Flepty plans to introduce online payment methods in the future, including UPI, debit cards, credit cards, net banking, and other digital payment options, to provide customers with a more convenient and flexible shopping experience.
Currently, Flepty does not process online payments or store customers' sensitive banking credentials on its servers. When online payment facilities are introduced, this Privacy Policy will be updated where necessary to explain the applicable payment processing and data handling practices.
Flepty respects your privacy and shares your personal information only when necessary to provide our services, fulfill orders, maintain platform security, comply with legal obligations, or support essential business operations.
Customer name, delivery address, contact number, and order details may be shared with vendors, delivery personnel, or delivery partners when required for order fulfillment and delivery.
Flepty uses third-party service providers for specific functions, including Google Maps services for location and address-related functionality, Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications and related technical services, SMS and OTP service providers for mobile-number verification, and hosting, server, database, security, and technical services.
These providers process information only as necessary to provide their services to Flepty.
Flepty may disclose information when required or permitted by applicable law, legal process, court order, or government authority.
Flepty takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, misuse, loss, or destruction.
Flepty uses appropriate security measures for data transmission and storage, where applicable. Access to personal information is provided only when necessary for account management, order processing, customer support, delivery, or other essential services.
Flepty takes reasonable steps to maintain and improve the security of its application, website, servers, and databases.
Flepty retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide its services, manage accounts and orders, provide customer support, prevent fraud, maintain security, and comply with applicable legal, accounting, or regulatory requirements.
When an account is deleted, Flepty deletes the personal information, saved addresses, and active carts associated with that account, subject to applicable legal requirements.

When retained information is no longer required, Flepty deletes or anonymizes it in accordance with applicable laws and its internal retention practices.
If you create a Flepty account, you can initiate account deletion directly from the Profile or Account section within the Flepty application. You do not need to submit a separate deletion request to initiate this process.
When you request account deletion, Flepty permanently deletes your account and erases the personal data, saved addresses, and active carts associated with your account from its servers, subject to applicable legal requirements.
Certain information, such as order and transaction records, may be retained when required for legal, accounting, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate business purposes.
Retained information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary or required by applicable law.
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Once the deletion process is completed, the deleted account cannot be restored.
Flepty does not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable law.
If you believe that personal information has been provided to Flepty by a child in circumstances where collection is not permitted, contact Flepty so that appropriate action can be taken.
The Flepty website may use cookies, local storage, session storage, or similar technologies that are necessary for login sessions, cart functionality, security, preferences, and improving the user experience.
Flepty does not use these technologies for unrelated tracking or advertising purposes unless disclosed and permitted by applicable law.

Flepty uses third-party services to operate certain features of the application and website, including services for maps and address functionality, OTP and SMS verification, Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) for push notifications, hosting and infrastructure, security, and analytics when enabled.
